That 55% greenwashing fear is a wake-up call. If investors already lean on third-party assurance (74% say it helps), why aren’t more CFOs making it standard practice? Great question! This should definitely be a wake-up call. The real challenge isn’t just the fear of greenwashing, it’s that many CFOs are still building the right systems to verify sustainability data.

Third-party assurance seems like the obvious fix, but without strong internal frameworks, it’s just a band-aid. The real shift will happen when sustainability reporting is as rigorous as financial reporting.
